Hi,
The most important and unique concept in AFS. Material Grids should be created to determine the characteristics and the characteristics values in which an AFS material can be maintained in the entire logistics.
There are two types of Material Grids. Master Grids possess all the possible Grid values a material can have. Using the master grid you specify:
- Which dimensions characterize the material
- How many dimensions are contained in a grid value
- Which combinations of dimension values you want to allow as grid values
A segment from a master grid. Using application grids you specify which of the grid values that you have permitted for your material in the master grid you want to purchase or sell. There are two types of Application Grids:
- Sales and Distribution Grids
- Purchasing Grids
See below in material master record
There is the five AFS specific tabs in the Material Master for AFS 6.4. They are
1. AFS Basic Data Tab : This tab has details pertaining to the Master Grid that is created for the material. Assign the Master Grid that was created with the Characteristics of the material in this field. Assign the MM Grid Det Proc and SD Grid Det Proc and activate the AFS Status. Please refer to the first attachment.
2. AFS Sales Data: The second AFS specific tab in the Material Master is the AFS Sales Data, here you can maintain SKU level pricing , status packing data and Target group.
3. AFS MRP: The third AFS specific tab in the Material Master is AFS MRP. This has four tabs namely General Control, Presizing, SKU Data, Discontinuation Contral within it. You can activate Batch Management and the MRP Indicator for the Material here. Refer the first attachment
4. AFS WM: The fourth AFS specific tab in the Material Master is AFS WM, under this tab you have the flexiblity to maintain the WM related data at the SKU level.
5.AFS Valuation : The third AFS specific tab in the Material Master is the AFS valuation tab. Here the valuation for each and every variant of the material can be maintained. Refer the second attachment.
