OK - it seems the problem was in the definition of the BC object.
The ID field was defined as "Code" - the recommendation is "Text".
However a .BCO cannot be changed - due the solution being so advanced with data rows already added, etc.
There is a 2nd opportunity to rescue to this -- in the BC View, go to the Data Model tab, then we can change the properties of the CCTS binding to Text. See screenshot below.
And voila, the FineTuning View will work perfectly.
