SP for blocking from Updating the Item Master .....

Hi All,

I have a case where I need to block the Item Master from updating when the Item Code of the Unused Item Master is Changed.

For Eg...

I have an Item  "Screw"  where no transaction has been posted using this item code.

The SP should block me when this Item Code is changed from "Screw" to "Screws".

Can this be Obtained using SP.

If Not can this be attained by any other means...?
